1. What are Binaural Frequencies?
Binaural beats are an auditory illusion created by the brain when two slightly different frequencies are played separately into each ear.
The Mechanism:
If a frequency of 400 Hz is played in the left ear and 410 Hz in the right ear, the brain attempts to reconcile this dissonance. It bridges the gap by creating a third, phantom tone—the difference between the two numbers (in this case, 10 Hz).
Brainwave Entrainment:
The brain naturally begins to synchronize its own electrical cycles to this phantom frequency.
